Hi, I’m Zeynep…

(She/Her)

I have a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, hold a license as a Drug and Addiction Counselor, and am actively working towards completing the required hours for full licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.

I enjoy working with teen and adult clients who struggle with stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, addictions, eating disorders, parenting challenges, conflict resolution, boundaries and self-esteem issues. I believe with non-judgmental emphatic listening and the trust within therapeutic relationship, people have the inherent motivation to improve themselves and change their unhealthy behaviors, thoughts.

In my practice, I embrace the role of a gentle guide, walking alongside you as you navigate the complexities of your life. Recognizing that you possess the deepest understanding of your own experiences, my practice is built on a foundation of collaboration and support, aimed at fostering your healing journey. Whether you are seeking to reclaim your story, find balance amidst life's turbulence, or simply need a supportive guide as you navigate your path, I am here to walk with you.

Navigating the modern world's stresses can be overwhelming. It's common to seek escape from difficult emotions and thoughts and to disconnect from oneself. My aim is to help clients feel their emotions, allow them to pass, and liberate their minds from destructive thinking patterns. Throughout our sessions, I pull from a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and trauma-informed modalities.

As someone born and raised in Turkey, I bring empathy and personal insight into the challenges faced by minorities, and I have a special place in my heart for working with individuals from all minority groups. I am committed to provide a culturally sensitive practice where clients can be authentic without fear of judgment.

Outside of sessions, I enjoy spending time with my family and trying to teach myself new skills —recently, gardening and knitting. I love thrifting, walking around a lake and trying new coffee shops around the twin cities.
