Hi, I’m Erin…

(She/Her)

I hold a Masters Degree in Counseling and Psychological Services at St. Mary’s University and a Masters Degree in Music Therapy from Augsburg College. Over the past 20 years as a music therapist, I have experience working in grief and loss, caregiver support, and general adult wellness. As a psychotherapist, I have expanded my work to include working with individuals experiencing trauma, relationship difficulties, stress, existential concerns, as well as depression, anxiety, and OCD.

I am interested in helping people navigate the many challenges life brings. As an active listener, I am careful to notice significant themes, so that we can then untangle complex situations and gain more understanding in moving forward. I also use creative and experiential approaches in couples therapy. When working with couples I help my clients discover what is preventing them from feeling fully connected, develop compassion and understanding toward each other, and create new and positive ways of being together in a strong and loving bond.

I believe therapy is an opportunity to delve into a process of self-discovery, and every person has the potential to grow, learn, heal, and make changes that bring more meaning and better satisfaction in life. As a music therapist, I integrate creative modalities for the purposes of self-exploration and processing thoughts and feelings. Experiencing imagery with the support of music, for example, can be particularly revealing of personal resources and insight.
